About Me
Hi! I'm Tina Ngo, born and raised in Dallas, Texas, I have always been passionate for performing and visual arts that can have an inspirational effect on people through storytelling. Recognized for various art awards for the Business Council for the Arts’s On My Own Time exhibit, as first and second place in Mixed Media for string art in 2017 and 2018. Gallery display at the Texas Visual Association of the Arts Gallery in 2018. I'm actively participating in Arts Leadership Council for support in the corporate workplace, further advocating the importance the arts in the community and continuing contributions of art donations for non-profit organizations. I started Tina Ngo Designs in 2017 providing commissioned pieces, interior decorating for small businesses and art enthusiasts along with helping educate the practice of string art through teaching classes
My Inspiration
I'm detailed, yet abstract. Which may seem contradictory, but my art expresses the complexities of conceptual thoughts to tactical execution. Raised by an immigrant family, who escaped from war, they’ve taught values of loyalty, compassion, hard work and dedication. The lessons I've learned have transformed my experiences into creative expression. String on a piece of wood can transform the visual eye depending on the distance of which it’s viewed. The perspective changes the closer up you get; to then taking steps back to see the greater whole. Our lives will follow the direction of our ideas, conversations and the relationships we build. I try to make a conscious effort to take a step back and look at the beauty of how our day to day decisions ultimately shape our lives and the cityscape in the way we live. The underlying expression in each piece that’s created.
